Nashira Arno

I’m a Latinx creative director & founder advocating for purposeful commerce, circular design, environmental sustainability, and a Net-Positive wardrobe. 

I spent my formative years between my native Dominican Republic and the United States. I studied Visual Communication Design and Fine Arts, later specializing in Fashion Design, and eventually falling into Jewelry Design through an unconventional path.

After half a decade spent in design in New York, I honored my curiosity by launching my eponymous label in 2016.  My work speaks to the affirming power of self-expression through personal adornment and the ways in which wearable items can connect dots between humans, traditions, and the earth.

I’ve met, partnered, mentored, and learned from artisans in developing countries worldwide and from inspiring, talented, incredible founders and businesspeople along the way. 

Throughout my career, my work has gained recognition, featured in design and fashion publications, including IGNANT, Vanity Fair, Bazar, and Vogue.

In addition to jewelry and fashion, Waves of Consequence it’s a project that grew from the need to make responsibly sound products that work with life and the planet we live on. Not against it. And a calling to create deep, meaningful relationships with brands that share the same principles as mine. And to help them drive their impact to their potential by aligning their vision to their values. Because awareness, responsibility, and purpose are the keys to unlocking relevant and compelling brands.
